London-based rock outfit PROFESSIONAL 101 has announced their highly anticipated debut album “This Is The Sound,” scheduled for release in September 2026. The record is produced and mixed by Grammy Award-winning producer Danton Supple, known for his work with Coldplay, Suede, and Morrissey.
A Record Shaped by Live Energy
What sets this debut apart is how it was crafted. Rather than retreating to a studio in isolation, PROFESSIONAL 101 road-tested their material through hundreds of live performances, letting audience energy directly shape the songs.
“The live shows have fed back into the record,” says frontman Mani Waldner. “They’ve made the new material more anthemic. The crowd shapes what we become.”
Singles and Early Reactions
The band has already released “In The City,” featuring a video directed by Gorillaz collaborator Seb Monk. The single showcases their signature punch and precision—a taste of what’s to come. Fan favourites like “Atomic Children” have been building anticipation at live shows, evolving with each performance.
Unfiltered and Honest
“We worked hard not to curate or soundscape, just to be real,” explains Waldner. “It’s our reflection of what’s going on out there, and our way of owning it.”
“This Is The Sound” promises to be more than a debut record—it’s a mirror held up to the world, honest and unfiltered. For fans of guitar-driven rock with substance, September 2026 can’t come soon enough.
